Creating Work Orders

Work Orders can be created for waste that is expected from a customer. This helps to expedite the reception process and allows labels to be printed for the expected waste.

Work Orders can be created manually or can be created from another system using the IMEC API.

The following information is required when creating/editing a work order:
Order No.: The Work Order reference number. This value must be unique.
Customer: Select the customer the work order is associated with.
Date Expected: The expected arrival date for this work order.

You can optionally specify Special Instructions, which can be displayed to the operator during the acceptance/receiving process.

You then need to specify the detail for the work order, i.e. what is expected, how much is expected, and in what container types.

Specify the Waste Profile, Container Type and Quantity Expected (Number of Items).

You can also optionally specify the designated Treatment Route for the waste. This will guide the operator when receiving the waste but can be overridden during receiving if necessary.

There is no limit on the number of lines you can add to the Work Order.

You can create multiple lines for the same Waste Profile, but they must be for different Container Types.

Printing Labels

Labels can be pre-printed for expected waste based on the Work Order line items. Printing labels for a Work Order does not create a container in the system; the container is only created once accepted using the Waste Acceptance or Receiving function.
From the Work Order edit page, click on the floating menu and select Print Label(s)

The number of labels to print will default to the Expected number of containers for each line on the work order. You can change this quantity to print additional labels if required.
