Adjust Weight/Volume from Work with Waste

Select the container(s) you want to adjust the weight on and click on Adjust Weight

There are 3 methods to choose from with regard to how you want to apportion the weight you enter across the selected containers. These are:
Split the weight evenly per container: This option will take the weight you enter, and split it evenly across the selected containers, e.g. if you select 10 containers, and enter a weight of 100 kilograms, it will set the weight to 10 kilograms for each selected container.
Apportion based on the current weight: This option will take the current weight of the containers into consideration when apportioning the weight, e.g. if you select 4 container, 3 of which currently has 20 kilograms each, and one that has 40 kilograms (total weight of 100 kilograms), and you enter a new weight of 200 kilograms, then the container that had 40 kilograms will now have 80 kilograms, and the other 3 containers will have 40 kilograms.
Specify weight per container: This option will take the weight specified and apply it to each selected container.

You can also choose if you want to Add To or Override the current container(s) weight.

If maximum weights have been specified for the applicable container types, then these will be taken into consideration before saving the new weight.

Adjust Weight / Volume (Mobile App)

You can adjust the weight/volume in a container via the Adjust Weight function on the Mobile App.

One would adjust the weight/volume for two reasons:

  1. To increase or decrease the current weight/volume in a container. E.G. Increase from 100lb to 200lb or decrease from 400lb to 350lb.
  2. To convert the estimated %full that is currently assigned to the container into an actual weight/volume. E.G. Convert 80% full into 400lb.

Source Container is the ID of the container to be adjusted. Once the Source Container has been specified the General tab provides an overview of waste in the container.

The Contents tab provides a more detailed breakdown of the waste in the container. For example the container may contain more than one Waste Profile and the weight/volume for each Waste Profile will be displayed there.

The Weight tab is where you specify the weight/volume you want to set for the container.

Illustrated below is where you are adjusting the weight/volume from 83.07lb to be 100lb.

275.00lb is the max weight/volume allowed for this container based on the container's underlying Container Type.

You click on Done to perform the operation.

Note - Another method of specifying the weight/volume is to retrieve the value from a Bluetooth weighing scales. Currently this feature is not supported on iOS. It is supported on Android and Windows only.

Adjust Weight / Volume of Multiple Containers (Mobile App)

You can adjust the weight/volume of waste in multiple containers via the Adjust Weight (Multi Containers) function on the Mobile App.

The containers to be adjusted can be specified by two methods, Batch or Container.

By Batch, you select the desired Batch and the containers for the selected Batch are displayed on the Containers tab where they are grouped by their Waste Profile. You are required to select which of these containers are to be adjusted by tapping on the slider. There is a slider at three different levels. Level 1 =  Select all containers. Level 2 = Select all containers for a Waste Profile. Level 3 = Select specific containers.

By Container requires you to specify the Container ID of each of the containers you want to adjust. Each container specified will be displayed on the Containers tab. Unlike by Batch, the containers are automatically selected to be adjusted.

The Weight tab is where you specify the new weight/volume to be applied to the container(s).

There are three methods by which you can apply the new weight/volume:

  1. Specify Total Weight - Split the weight evenly per container E.G. 2 containers and a new weight of 100kg have been specified. 50kg will be applied to each container.
  2. Specify Total Weight - Apportion based on current weight E.G. 2 containers with a combined weight of 100kg have been specified. Container 1 weighs 40kg (i.e. 40%) and Container 2 weighs 60kg (i.e. 60%). The new weight to apply is 200kg. 80kg will be applied to Container 1 and 120kg will be applied to Container 2.
  3. Specify Weight per Container E.G. 2 containers and a new weight of 100kg have been specified. 100kg will be applied to each container.

Unit of Measure - You are required to select the UOM of the new weight/volume.

Weight/Volume - You are required to specify the new weight/volume numeric value.

Note - Another method of specifying the weight/volume is to retrieve the value from a Bluetooth weighing scales. Currently this feature is not supported on iOS. It is supported on Android and Windows only.

Include Tare - If this is selected you are indicating the new weight/volume includes the combined tare weight of each of the containers. This combined weight will be deducted from the new weight/volume and the balance will be applied to the containers.

The Print tab is where you provide the details to print updated labels for the containers once the new weight/volume has been applied.

Note - Printing is performed via Bluetooth. Currently this feature is not supported on iOS. It is supported on Android and Windows only.

Container Printer - You can select the Bluetooth printer you want to print to.

Number of Container Labels - You specify how many labels you wish to printer per container.
